A journey through Prague to find out what “Family” is.
Families come in all shapes and forms. In the Czech republic, the concept of family itself can be a very personal issue. We have been on the streets of Prague to know from different people what is a family for them. Find out about these different opinions about family in our photo-story.

We all have an idea of a “family” Therefore, we were finding out about Family in Prague.
First, we were asking people on the street.
For Petr M. from Slovakia a “family is a man, a woman and a child. I don’t need more!”
Our next stop lead us to a charity Organisation. We were still wondering what is family for them
For Maria family is”the most important part of your life”. In a Family you have people who care about you and there’s a warm atmosphere”
Heading to our next stop we met a Czech and we were asking what is family for him.
Michel told, for him “Mother, Father or both and a child minimum one” makes out a family. For him it’s not important whether they are happy or not.
And than we reached our next stop, the café Q at Prague 1.
We were wondering what people of the LGBTQ+ Community think about family.
Sitting outside of the restaurant we met Petra.
In her opinion “two people who love each other should be allowed to do whatever they want”
And then we met Michael as well for him a family consist out of “Love” and “people that share their house, but it’s not a house it’s home”
Furthermore, we were exploring the café.
After getting a drink and an impression…
we talked to Daniel S. who is the staff. For him a family is “keeping together, enjoying time together and building up something together”
