“Wheel Life”: Snapshots of Prague’s Wheelchair Users

Our group, Doors4Disabilities, is working towards uncovering the inequalities in mobility access for the non-able bodied community in Prague. In this photo story, we explore the real (“wheel”) lives of disabled individuals who live or visit the Czech capital: you will see insight into the lives of both tourists and Czech natives, and the real people behind the wheelchairs. Additionally, several photos illustrate the mobility difficulties of being in a historic, picturesque yet inaccessible city like Prague – photographs include various examples of situations which may be completely normalized for able-bodied individuals, but impossible to use for those who live with a disability.
